About Us

The Future Healers of Coastal Bend is a organization dedicated to middle and high school students who aspire to pursue a career in the medical field. Our mission is to nurture the next generation of healthcare professionals by exploring the traditional pre-med pathways and beyond, with a focus on increasing diversity in healthcare.

This program was inspired by the struggles students face when applying to college without thorough guidance. Our club addresses this problem by offering free resources and mentorship to all interested students in the Corpus Christi area, aiming to educate, encourage, and prepare a new generation of knowledgeable healthcare professionals.

As a member, students will have the chance to build a community of friends with similar goals and interests. They will become better prepared and informed about their futures through monthly meetings, interactions with peers on our Discord channel, access to academic resources, and participation in our mentorship program.

Isabella is a second year biomedical engineering major at the University of Houston. She has always been interested in the medical field and hopes to pursue either cancer research or become a  doctor. Throughout middle school and high school years she wished I had a club like this to get a more in depth view of the medical field. While in high school she spent her time volunteering at Driscoll Children’s Hospital and was involved in various clubs and projects at her school. Besides her love for medicine, she loves to travel, spend time with her friends and family, and go to concerts.
